Christmas 2009

Christmas this year was spent in St. Louis, MO with my parents. Aiden and I left earlier than Jeremy because his leave didn't start until the 21st of December and I really needed some extra family time. So, my sister Rachel and brother, Ben came out Friday the 18th and we left on Saturday the 19th to go out to my parents house. So we got the extra 2 days before Jeremy got out there. We had a nice relaxing week. We celebrated my mom's birthday on the 22nd by going to a really great Italian restaurant. It was rated in Sauce magazine and Zaggat as one of the best in St. Louis. And we all agreed, they gave us waaaayyy too much food, but it was delicious! Then we also wrapped Christmas presents, I finished making all of my Christmas cards and got them in the mail. We vegetated and watched Christmas movies. We finished our Christmas shopping. On Christmas Eve we went to the early service at church, then we had dinner, opened our pajamas, and read " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas". Aiden put out reindeer food for the "reindeer" (Bitsy, my parents dog), cookies and milk for Santa, which he promptly ate and drank himself...So cute, if you ask me. Then we put him to bed, and set up everything to look like Santa had been here. When Aiden got up in the morning around 10 we started opening presents, and it took us 4 hours total there were so many of them. Aiden had sooo much fun! He made out like a bandit, as you can see! Jordan, my brothers girlfriend came over around noon and opened presents with us, then spent the afternoon and evening with us playing games and being lazy. Then on, Saturday we were just lazy mostly. Mom, Rachel and I went shopping a bit, and got Aiden his dance shoes and a few things to augment what we got for Christmas. Then we went out for dinner at the country club to celebrate my birthday a couple of days early. When we got back, I opened my presents, had my dessert and started packing up to leave on Sunday. Sunday morning we left between 10 and 12, and got home around 7pm.

Aiden's New Little Girlfriend

So, Aiden has got a new little girlfriend. Her name is Hannah. She is totally adorable, she has red hair and blue eyes. She is the sweetest little girl with the fieiriest temper I have ever come across. And she and Aiden get along very well. She calls Aiden "my Aiden" and Aiden calls her "Hanny".
They play together very well, she is 2 going on 3, which fits his age range very well. She has an older sister named Kat who is 3 going on 4 who is just as fiery in temper, but more of a fire cracker in personality, and a little brother named Conner who is the sweetest, quietest, most laid back little boy ever. Aiden loves to play with them all, and gets to do so a lot when he is home from school, and most of the time every weekend. Just thought I would show everyone who Aiden has been playing with all the time lately!!

Happy Black Friday

I would have said Happy Thanksgiving, but that would be a bit late. We were pretty busy yesturday. And, well, for that matter, I was pretty busy this morning myself. We had a combined Thanksgiving celebration. We had 3 families, and 2 stray Airmen get together at a friends house for Thanksgiving yesturday. We had LOTS of food, that most of got eaten. There were 11 adults, 6 toddlers/kids, and an infant. It was pretty busy, but LOTs of fun. We all enjoyed ourselves. After all the chaos, 3 of us ladies left the guys and the kids to stay the night at that house and came back here to my house to have a sleep over until 2 am when we went to volunteer with the Enlisted Spouses Club here on base at the BX. We handed out StarBucks coffee and Krispee Kreme Donuts to those in line waiting for the Black Friday sale. After the line was opened up, we sat and wrapped presents for people on their way out. I finally got back home around 8 this morning and laid down to go to bed and slept pretty much all day, and only just got up about 3 hours ago. :) So, it was an eventful couple of days. Tomorrow the plans are to get the outside Christmas lights up and to get the last yard mowing of the year done. Hopefully. We shall see! Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Zumba

So, today I started a new excersize class with a friend of mine on base. It is called Zumba. Oh. My. Gosh. This class is a mix of dance and aerobics, it is insane!!!! I can't say that I love it, but I will say that I like it. The lady running the class is crazy, but she was great. She didn't single anyone out for doing things wrong, or point them out to use as an example. The class was mid size which was good cause then I didn't feel out of place. The music was upbeat, and always moving, from mid speed to fast and back again. Then with the cool down at the end. We are going to give it 2 weeks which is 4 classes then decide what to do, whether to try something else or keep going with this one. Right now, I am liking this one, though, I am DEAD BEAT and totally sore. Night all!

LOVED IT! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! That is all I have to say about that....Have a nice day.

New Moon!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon starts at midnight tonight, and Jeremy and I have tickets for a 12:20 am showing. That way I get to satisfy my Robert Patt...ERM...I mean Twilight obsession that Jeremy so willingly puts up with. I will admitt it isn't Robert Pattinson as much as Edward Cullen the character that I have fallen for, but still the face and body they put on him isn't to bad to look at either. And Jeremy doesn't seem to mind looking at Kristen Stewart either, so we tie out. So, we will have a sitter with Aiden while he sleeps and we are fulfilling our obsessions. Hope everyone has a good night too!

The Big 3!

And boy was it BIG! He started preschool this morning, and he turned 3 all in one day. At 7:40am the bus was there to pick him up and take him off to his first day of school. And it was a big bus. I wasn't sure whether I was happy or sad...I smiled and waved, and watched him go. Then I went back in the house and called Jeremy at work and cried for a good few minutes. After that I was fine, so I got online, put up some pictures on the Picasa site, sent a few people emails with pictures and then went to my psych appointment. When I got back, Jeremy was waiting here with Aiden who had just gotten off the bus about 5 minutes before. He had taken a picture with his phone, which I added to the online photo album. That was when Jeremy had to go back to work. Aiden and I went through his school folder, then I put up the work on the fridge, and then we did his one page of color homework. After that he and I went to the playground around the corner and he played for like an hour and a half! Though I should have taken him home earlier, because I was a bubblehead, and I didn't check the bottom of the slides for water. He went down the first slide he came to and guess what? There was a HUGE puddle in the end of the slide...SOOO, Aiden had a VERY wet butt. He refused to leave, and as it was his birthday, I relented. We then went home, and Jeremy, Aiden and I all had naps. When we got up we went to dinner at McDonald's where Aiden played with the video games in the play place. Once we got home he opened his presents which were puzzles that make noise when you put the pieces in the right spot, and a sleepy time Pooh Bear. And then he played Cars on the XBox 360 for a couple of hours. After allll that fun, he finally blew out the candle on his "Ghetto Cake" a cake made of chocolate cookies with a candle from the inside of one of the Halloween pumpkins. Hehehe. He loved it, and he ate a cookie, then went, rather unwillingly to bed. Tomorrow will be another day, and a fun one for him, since he has no school, and Daddy has no work. We shall see what happens....

BIG Day Tomorrow...

Ok, so other mommas, and daddies alike will most likely understand. Aiden is turning 3 tomorrow morning. On top of that, my little boy is starting school!!! He will be starting a special education preschool at the local elementary school. He will be picked up from our house in a short school bus that has 5 point harness seats in it at 7:45 am and dropped off here at our house around 11:15 or 11:30 am or so. This will be Tuesday thru Friday. And he is starting tomorrow, on his 3rd birthday. I am getting 2 major hits in one day. Ack! I am just not sure what to do with myself on this. I mean I have gotten myself into a couple of groups, a scrapping group, an enlisted wives club and stuff...but still...this is too much too fast. I will post pictures of tomorrow mornings bus pick up and getting ready for school stuff as soon as I have them, hope you all are having eventful lives!

Disney World Trip

This was this most incredible trip to Disney World ever...Well, after the trip where I lived and worked there for 7 months and met my husband, but we got to celebrate that while we were there, which helped this one be even better! Aiden had the BEST time! I have about 350 pictures or more from this trip, which will be sorted through and posted selectively here, but alll of which have already been posted up on our Google Picasa site, which has a link on this page. So, please go look at all the fun we had. We went with Jeremy's parents, his brother Chris, and another family the Bakers: Jim, Sonja, Olivia, Kate, and Emma. They all made the trip that much more fun! I will be posting the pictures up here soon, but right now I am going to bed because I am exhausted! Nite all!

48 Hours

In 48 hours we will be in Disney World soaking up the sun and warmth. And Jeremy and I will be reliving the begginng of our relationship. Totally excited and can't wait. Aiden is psyched to see Pooh B and Deore and Meey and Andy Maay... or Pooh Bear, EE Or Mickey and Handy Manny as they are really called :) Hope you all enjoy the next week, look forward to the picks we will have when we get back in a week! Love you all!

Applejack's Pumpkin Patch

Today was Aiden's first visit to a pumpkin patch. We are really lucky to have a very good one here, about 20 minutes from our house. So, we went and spent the afternoon playing at the pumpkin patch. They had a big slide... And a petting zoo... There was also a pumpkin cannon, that Aiden and Jeremy both shot off. The first pumpkin exploded into little bits and pieces, and the second one flew so far out into the corn field that it was never to be seen again. They also had a hay fort. And of course they had the wagon ride out to the actual pumpkin patch. By the time we left, we had spent an entire 2 hours wandering around, but we found 3 "perfect" pumpkins to use for Halloween. Hope everyone else has a great weekend, because we sure are!

FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!

This is going to be short...really short. WE HAVE FURNITURE!!! Finally, after 2 months without it, we have furniture and our stuff. The movers came today, and unloaded all 9100 lbs. of it. We got about 15 huge boxes unpacked, and stuff set up in the rooms, next comes unpacking. Thank god for my mom being here, it should go a lot faster with her! Pictures will come sometime in the somewhat near future. Bed time for us now, sooooooo tired!

Just 'Cause

I have been horrible lately about sticking up pictures of Aiden. So, I thought I would make up for that and post a few of them from over the last couple of months. The first one is Aiden wearing Daddy's boots. He absolutely loves to wear Jeremy's work boots, and tries to put them on at every chance he has. They come of off Jeremy's feet, and immediately go on Aiden's.
Next up, is Aiden's first visit to the dentist. This was in August before we had left New Mexico to come out here to Kansas. He did a really great job of staying still and opening his mouth up for the dentist to look in, once he got past the fact that she was wearing scrubs. Scrubs mean shots and iv lines to him, since he has spent so much time around doctors due to being so early. But after we got him calmed down from that, he was more than happy to let her see his teeth, just like a big boy.
And last, but not least, here is a picture of him in our front yard here in Wichita. He really likes having so much grass to play in, even though he isn't quite sure what to make of it and all of the trees yet. He does like the sound and feel of the dried leaves crinkling in his hands though, and he does that a lot. Hope you all enjoy these pics as much as we do. Until next time...

Soon

Ok, so just a short little side note...We get our furniture soon!! October 6th it will be delivered. And thank heaven for mothers, mine is coming for 2 days to help me with the unpacking. Between she and I during the day, with Jeremy added on in the late afternoon, we should easily get everything unpacked in that 2 days!! I am sooo excited! Ok, that is all, enjoy life and be good.

Not quite Nowhere Land

Well, we have decided that Wichita is not quite Nowhere Land. So far we are enjoying the area a lot. There is a lot to do, and it seems to only take about 15 minutes to get to anything we need. Which is a very nice change. We have a house...and obviously, internet, finally! We don't have much else, being that all of our household goods, and furniture is still in storage. The military is slowly getting things online, and one of those things is the retrieval of household goods. And we didn't have internet access until today, so we weren't able to set up delivery until today. So, hopefully we will have our stuff soon. The house is nice, old, and super small compared to what we are used to, but it is home for the next several years at least. Aiden is doing great, and really enjoying the playground that is only 2 blocks from our house. The dogs are loving having a back yard again, and Jeremy is enjoying getting to actually do his job finally. He is having some back trouble again, and will be going to the doctor again for that this week to see what they can do about it this time, if it is the bulging disc again. I am doing pretty well, unpacking and trying to get ready for our actual furniture to get here. So, in total, we are all doing good. Hope everyone is having a good month!

Kansas

Ok, well we are here in Wichita now. We got here on Saturday, and have been staying in a long term suites hotel off base until we can get into our actual base housing on the 15th. We do have the address and everything, so if you would like it, email me or call me and let me know and I will get it to you. Until then, we have been making due with what we have. The past week has been pretty slow, Jeremy has some time off to get things with the housing sorted out, so that was nice. I do have a couple of cute pictures to stick up here from before we left NM. The night before we left I couldn't sleep, and I looked at both Jeremy and Aiden while they were sleeping, and they were both sleeping in exactly the same position. Just on different sides, it was so cute, they looked so much alike I HAD to take a picture right? So, I have a picture of each of them from that night :).

On a much sadder note, I heard from my mom today about a family friend of ours. A very dear man, Art Hutchison, who was like another grandfather to me, died on Tuesday of a heart attack. I am hoping to go home for his visitation and funeral this weekend. I just wanted to put his name out there in the world for others to know one more time. Art Hutchison was a wonderful man who was willing to do anything needed to help a friend in need, and I will truly miss him.

Roving Homeless

Well, we are temporarily homeless. Today we said goodbye to 11316 La Crosse Street. But we are still in New Mexico waiting on the go ahead from all of the paperwork going thru, so we are waiting...waiting...waiting...well, you get the point. We are currently staying in the TLF (temporary lodging facility) here on base. Once we get the okay, we will head to KS and see about getting ourselves a new home...Until then, we are what you could call the roving homeless. Have Tahoe, will travel, if the military will let us...Here are a few pics of our home until today for you all to enjoy. It was a good house, and we loved it while we were here, but as they say "Home is where the Air Force sends you"...So, hopefully soon, on we go.... The front of 11316 La Crosse Street...

And the incredible view from the back yard...And finally, Aiden enjoying the vast space of the living room...Goodbye, 11316 La Crosse Street...

Echoes

Well, the move is under way. I am not saying we are on the way out...no, we are still here, but, our stuff isn't. We are currently living in an empty house with just the necessities. Thankfully we kept the tv, cable box, and 2 boxes of Aidens toys, or I would be going nuts right now. We have several things that still need to be done before Jeremy can get the final parts of the outprocessing done. One of those things is dental appointments for both Aiden and I. Now, for me this is routine, but for Aiden this is a first, and I will do my best to get a few pics if they will let me. I am not sure of this though, as it will be a military dentist. Jeremy is also taking his test for Staff Srgt. tomorrow morning. It is looking to be around the 15th when we will finally be out of here and on the road to Kansas. Until then, we sleep on air mattresses, eat off of paper plates, and cook in aluminum pans/tupperware. And we live out of suitcases. I suppose it is the modern day version of roughing it. The poor dogs don't even have "their" patio furniture to sit on outside. Things are really quite crazy, the house echoes at the smallest sound. Even breathing in the living room sounds loud right now. Sunday morning when I woke up, and went to let the dogs out, I was a little panicked to see that there was nothing in the house before I remembered that the movers had come and taken it all away on Saturday to put into storage until we arrive in Wichita. Aiden had a bit of a hard time dealing with things while the movers were actually taking all of the boxes and furniture. He kept going into his room and coming back out very upset saying "boxes"...and he started crying a few times when they took his changing table and his bed. Thankfully he was asleep when they took the couches, because I think that would have really disturbed him. All I can say for now is, I am a little bit disoriented, and ready to have my stuff back, no matter where I will be when I get it....

TumbleBugs

Today was Aiden's last day at TumbleBugs, the gymnastics class he takes at GymMagic through the Apprendamos team as part of his physical therapy. We got some really good pictures of him, and of us with our team of therapists. Rather than posting a long story here, I am going to put up some of the pictures.

From left to right: Jeremy, me, Aiden, Miss Lacey, Miss Kara, and Miss Esmerelda

We want to thank each of you guys for all that you have done. Lacey, you have done so much to get Aiden where he is speech-wise, I don't know what we would have done this past year especially without you. Kara, Aiden loved playing with you so much, and the fact that he can now run and climb like other boys his age, I will credit to you helping us. Esmerelda, I am so glad that we had you as our team coordinator, it was so much fun working with you. Aiden always enjoyed every time he got to see all of you. And so did Jeremy and I. Once again, a big thank you to all of you for all that you did, please keep in touch, I know that we will.

New Car

Yay! We just got a new car. Well, new for us...We traded in both the Volvo and the Honda and got a 2005 Chevy Tahoe. It is a very pretty white, and it is in pristine condition, there are one or two minor cosmetic issues, but the are inside. The car itself runs GREAT, hasn't had any problems that pop up on CarFax, and it gives us a LOT more room to travel with. Which will be great with the move to Wichita coming up. This means we can actually all go in one car with no worries. It is also a V8 and has a tow hitch, which gives us the option of renting a trailer to take some extra stuff it we want. I know, this only leaves us with one car, you say...we have a plan. When we get to Kansas we plan to look into buying a cheap sports motorcycle for Jeremy to drive back and forth to work on base. He just recently got his motorcycle license from a class here on base, so he is set for that. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of the new truck, well, SUV...one inside and one from the front. Soon, I will have one from the side, we were just dead tired and too broke to do anything, so I didn't get around to taking a good side picture. Love you all!!

Purely Laziness

Ok, so the reason it has been about 2 weeks since we have been home and I posted is just plain ole laziness. I admit, I have been truly, horribly lazy. It is inexcusable, and yet, I beg you forgive me. I did just do a cross country jaunt on my own with a two year old and 2 dogs in tow. Added to that, I just wanted to spend some time with Jeremy before we have to pick up and move again. Our estimated time of departure is August 7th for now. It may change and it may not. There are several factors that go into it, and I really don't want to go into all that jazz right now. ;) I will leave you with a couple of pictures though. Jeremy graduating from tech school...

And Aiden blowing bubbles...

We're Home!!

Just to let everyone know, we are home, as in back at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. And that means ALL of us. Finally all back together...the trip was long and arduous, but the story will have to wait, because I am off to sleep in my OWN bed for the first time in nearly 4 months. Ah, the small joys of life...

Going Home Soon

Ok, so yay for Aiden and I, we are going home soon. We leave South Carolina on Wednesday, and we will be stopping to stay at a friends house in Shreveport, LA. From there we are on our way to Wichita Falls, TX where we will FINALLY meet back up with Jeremy!!! YAY for all of us! Then from there we leave and we will all drive home. This scenario makes all of us very, very happy. In other news to update people, Aiden has been having a blast, his uncle Chris came up to visit again this weekend so he got to play with him. We have some great videos of him playing Rock Band with Uncle Chris and Grandpa. We also have a bunch of pictures from the past month here, posted on our Picasa page (which is linked from here in case you forgot). I have also gotten myself spruced up in anticipation of seeing Jeremy after nearly 4 months of seperation. I got my hair cut, and my nails and toenails done. I feel all nice and girly now. So, until we are safely back in New Mexico getting ready for the big move, this will be our last post for a couple weeks. :) Have fun everyone, because we sure will! Here is a Rockin' pic for your enjoyment...

Wichita?

Well, I forgot to post a while back about the fact that we found out where we will be going when Jeremy is done with his training. We will be moving to Wichita, KS. Of all places...We requested all bases in the south-east so that we could be close to some of his family, and where do we wind up? Wichita, KS, as far from ANY coast as we can get. Ah well, I suppose someone out there thinks this is funny. We will at least be in a big city, where we will be able to have food delivered to the house. And we won't have to drive 45 minutes to an hour just to get TO a city so we can do something. And there are plenty of other good things about being at McConnell AFB in Wichita, KS...We will be at an actual Airforce base, not on an Army base. So, it should all work out.

Relaxing

Well, we haven't been doing a whole lot out here. Basically, just sitting back and relaxing, which is really nice for a change. Aiden is having the time of his life soaking up lots of attention from Grandma and Grandpa. I have been enjoying getting the chance to sit and read all the way through an entire book. Last weekend we all drove up to Sue and Russ' house in North Carolina where Russ did some work on the house and we watched movies and relaxed some more. Since then we have done some more of, guess what?? That's it! Relaxing...Hope everyone is enjoying life as much as we are right now.

On the Move Again

Well, Aiden and I are on the move again. We left St. Louis on Tuesday to come out to South Carolina and stay with Jeremy's parents. The drive was a long one, it was only a day, but it was 13 hours worth of a day, with me, one toddler and two pugs. I did pretty good handling it, if I do say so myself. We have spent the last 2 days recouping and spending time with my inlaws. Who are incredible, and I am so glad to be part of their family.
I will put in this last little bit from when I was in St. Louis. On Saturday I went out with some friends from high school, as well as the parents of one of those friends. We went to a piano bar called The Jive and Wail. I loved it, I had absolutely the best time. I enjoyed seeing Janet and Chris, and Jenny and Vic, and Jen's parents Lisa and John, and even her brother Jordan and his girlfriend. It was a fun night, and I loved getting to spend some time with these great people. Thanks for inviting me guys!
Keep an eye out for more updates...I'll be posting more I am sure.

Graduation...

This past weekend, I went up to Dekalb, IL to see my cousin Kate graduate from college. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Health and Human Services. I am incredibly proud of her, she did a great job. The ceremony was nice, and it was really good to get to see family that I haven't seen in a long time. Aiden enjoyed himself, because he got a lot of attention, being the only small child, well, actually the only person under the age of 20 who was there. He also got to sleep on a feather bed on the floor, which he thought was great fun. I just wanted people out there to know, that my cousin graduated from NIU last weekend, and I am proud of her!

Six Flags

This weekend I got to do something I almost never do anymore. I went out without Aiden for a whole day. My brother and I went to Six Flags. We spent pretty much all day going on rides, and waiting in line surrounded by middle school choir, band and orchestra kids. Apparently, there was some kind of music competition there, and there were middle schoolers from all over the midwest there. That made the day interesting to say the least. But we had fun anyway. Aiden spent the day with Nana and Grumps and apparently had a blast, though he was thrilled to see me when I got home. And I have to say coming home to a happy toddler was a really nice thing. I just wish that Jeremy had been here to go with me. Oh well, soon enough...

March for Babies

Well, we're back from Chicago, a little bit wetter, but no worse for the wear. The walk started off decently, the weather was overcast and chilly, but not too bad...
And then the craziness started...Within about 10 yards of starting it started raining, but not constantly, just off and on. And when it did rain, it was hard. So, we made it through about 4 miles of the walk with rain off and on, when all of the sudden, the sky opened up and let loose with a monsoon. It was crazy! Rain was coming at us from all sides, even from the ground! We didn't manage to finish the whole walk, because I was a little worried about keeping Aiden out in the cold and rain too long, he doesn't need to get that cold in his little body. So, we caught a cab, and went back to Rachel's apartment to dry off and get some brunch. Overall, it was fun though, Rachel Katie and I got to talk and enjoy ourselves despite the rain, and rain or no rain, the March of Dimes got our money anyway. It was a good weekend in Chicago with my sister, and the walk was interesting. Thanks to all who donated money to the cause this year, and start saving for next year, I'll be around asking for donations again!

We're Off!

Well, off we go...Aiden and I are headed up to Chicago to stay with my sister for the weekend. Sunday is the March of Dimes March for Babies, and we are doing the walk to help earn money to research more ways prevent premature births. I'll be posting pictures from the weekend on my Picasa Web Album page off and on over the weekend, so feel free to have a look. Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful spring weather this weekend!

Magic House

Aiden and I went to The Magic House today. It's a children's museum in St. Louis, they just recently finished and opened a very large new wing, and an online mom's group sponsored a play date there for the first so many people who r.s.v.p.'d. So, I got online and got us on the list. It was a lot of fun. I am pretty sure Aiden had fun, too. There was a story book area, where he could pretend to be in different fairy tales, he particularly liked playing the piano in the feasting area of Beauty and the Beast.

There was a sand play area, a construction play area, learning classrooms with arts and crafts were open. There were lots of noise making cause and effect exhibits. There were play cars and there was a water play area. Aiden loved both of those. I think after the water play area, we were both a little wetter than when we came in. Overall, I think it is pretty safe to say that we had a good time. Maybe we'll go back before we leave...

Botanical Gardens

Okay, so on the front of being better about updating this...Today Aiden and I went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens with my friend Jenny and her little girls Katie and Claire. We had a good time, minus a few tantrums on Aiden's side. There was so much to do in the Children's Garden area that he just couldn't get enough of everything. There was a mock jail cell that he really enjoyed... And then he really enjoyed making music with Katie, and by himself ...But in the end, he was totally wiped out and we headed home for lunch and a nap. It was a fun day, and I really hope that we can do something with Jen and the girls again!

Bad Blogger Updates...

Ok, so I know it has been months since I posted anything and that is terrible. But we all know how good I am at keeping in touch with people. So, we will just move beyond all of that into update mode. I will keep this short and sweet and then I will do my best to update things at least every other week...So, since the last post in November we have been incredibly busy. Thanksgiving we spent at my parents condo in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. We spent Christmas in South Carolina with Jeremy's family. Which we really enjoyed, Aiden made out like a bandit between both sides of the family and he had a field day unwrapping everything. Next year he may actually understand the principal of opening presents. :) And then in January we found out that the official start date for his tech school class was April 6, 2009. So we decided then that Aiden and I would be staying with my family and Jeremy's family while he was away at training. So, currently I am in St. Louis, MO with my family and I will head out to South Carolina the week before Memorial Day and spend that month with Jeremy's parents before heading back to New Mexico to get ourselves ready to move. We are all doing really well, despite the seperation. Aiden and I got to go to my cousin Melissa's wedding in Savannah, GA which was beautiful, and lots of fun. And while I am here, I plan to see as many people as I can. I will also be making a short jaunt up to Chicago, IL the weekend of April 25-26 for the March of Dimes March for Babies, which I will be doing with my sister, cousin Kate, and Aiden. Feel free to donate money to the cause, any little bit helps ( http://www.marchforbabies.org/myjen40 ) . Aiden is doing a little bit better in the area of talking, which makes us all very happy. Jeremy is doing well in class and has his first block test tomorrow night. They have his class working the midshift (11pm-7am) which does make talking a bit difficult but thankfully the internet and webcams are around, and we use those a lot. Easter was a really great time for Aiden, he had a blast with 3 different egg hunts, and finally got the concept at the second one, in time for the private just for him hunt that we had here at my parents. The candy monster comes out now and then demanding to be fed, but with one little piece we can usually fend him off. And that really leads up to today, which was pretty slow. I am still trying to recoup from a bout with strep throat and bronchitis, but we are all doing well otherwise. I hope everyone else is doing well, and that you haven't all given up on me as hopeless when it comes to blogging. I apologize for being so terrible about it, but I am going to make a concerted effort to be better about it from here on out. I have lots of pictures posted on our Picasa Web site from the past several months, so feel free to look at those. And I will leave you all with this adorable little face to look at.
