Well, Aiden and I are on the move again. We left St. Louis on Tuesday to come out to South Carolina and stay with Jeremy's parents. The drive was a long one, it was only a day, but it was 13 hours worth of a day, with me, one toddler and two pugs. I did pretty good handling it, if I do say so myself. We have spent the last 2 days recouping and spending time with my inlaws. Who are incredible, and I am so glad to be part of their family.
I will put in this last little bit from when I was in St. Louis. On Saturday I went out with some friends from high school, as well as the parents of one of those friends. We went to a piano bar called The Jive and Wail. I loved it, I had absolutely the best time. I enjoyed seeing Janet and Chris, and Jenny and Vic, and Jen's parents Lisa and John, and even her brother Jordan and his girlfriend. It was a fun night, and I loved getting to spend some time with these great people. Thanks for inviting me guys!
Keep an eye out for more updates...I'll be posting more I am sure.
This past weekend, I went up to Dekalb, IL to see my cousin Kate graduate from college. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in Health and Human Services. I am incredibly proud of her, she did a great job. The ceremony was nice, and it was really good to get to see family that I haven't seen in a long time. Aiden enjoyed himself, because he got a lot of attention, being the only small child, well, actually the only person under the age of 20 who was there. He also got to sleep on a feather bed on the floor, which he thought was great fun. I just wanted people out there to know, that my cousin graduated from NIU last weekend, and I am proud of her!
This weekend I got to do something I almost never do anymore. I went out without Aiden for a whole day. My brother and I went to Six Flags. We spent pretty much all day going on rides, and waiting in line surrounded by middle school choir, band and orchestra kids. Apparently, there was some kind of music competition there, and there were middle schoolers from all over the midwest there. That made the day interesting to say the least. But we had fun anyway. Aiden spent the day with Nana and Grumps and apparently had a blast, though he was thrilled to see me when I got home. And I have to say coming home to a happy toddler was a really nice thing. I just wish that Jeremy had been here to go with me. Oh well, soon enough...
