Well, yesterday was Aiden's first day of school for the 2011-2012 school year. He had a new teacher for the first time in 2 years. He had Ms. Powell for the past 2 years, and did very well with her, but this year, he has a new teacher, Ms. Ferguson. She is also new to the school, so no one was able to tell me what she is like. It will be a learning experience for both Aiden and I. He said he had a great day, and he came home with stamps on his hand and a kitty nose and whiskers drawn on his face. He is very excited to go back today, and, horribly I am excited for him to go back as well. Not for the well meaning reasons a good parent would, no, for the fact that I can nap while he is at school. Since little Miss Maycee has been keeping me up nights. She has gotten into a sleep pattern where she will sleep for like 3 or 4 hours at night, then she is up from 3 am until about 8 am. So, that is all the sleep I get at night. With Aiden back in school, I don't have to stay up all day and I can nap in the afternoon while he is gone and Maycee is napping too. Ah, the wonders of having a school aged child!
